Forsyth Barr House

Standing proud on the western edge of the Octagon, Forsyth Barr House is a familiar landmark for many in Dunedin. This project was another example of how seamlessly working as a team with the architect and builder helps to deliver the best outcome for the client.

The project comprised of a brand-new boardroom on the tenth floor and foyer on the ground floor. The complexity of this project required our skilled team to be extra vigilant, ensuring delicate handling to avoid finger marks of over 1500 custom-made flat lock panels, giving a stunning, timeless quilt-like effect. The layout of these had to be perfect and precision flashings enhance the finishing of the project.

Using gold PVD coating on the stainless steel improves the longevity of the product and ensures that they are less likely to discolour or tarnish, making them a perfect choice for the Dunedin location.

The striking golden elements can be seen from around Dunedin’s city centre and now the Forsyth Barr House is even more of a landmark for Dunedin.
