The Heights

Designed by Condon Scott Architects this Wanaka holiday house was designed to maximise views while creating a sense of privacy within a built-up neighbourhood.

The layout of the rhomboid shingles as the exterior cladding was critical to achieving the contemporary wrap around look. The rhomboid external corner, window and parapet termination detailing also helps keep the continuity all around the first floor. 

Creating a curved aluminium fascia as well as keeping the sharp angles was important in maintaining the flow of the architects design.

An impressive feature is the continuation of the dynamic, diagonal metal cladding indoors, lining one side of the internal staircase.

A big part of achieving the incredible final result was the early involvement with the architect, the client and ourselves.
